DID YOU KNOW – With Producer Charlie: Blacking Out to The Oldies

Weekly Feature
DID YOU KNOW? 🤔🎶
with Producer Charlie

Hey Legends fans — meet Producer Charlie, a true Crawford Media Group veteran here in Denver. Charlie’s been with Crawford for 30 years:
started as a commercial writer, moved into program producer, and now serves as Operations Manager. 🎙️

Now he’s bringing a weekly “Did You Know?” drop — a quick hit of music trivia and behind-the-scenes stories you’ll want to tell your friends. 😄

DID YOU KNOW?
Some singers have pushed themselves so hard in the studio that they’ve reportedly blacked out
after holding impossibly long notes. 😳🎧
(Music lore is full of wild moments — the stories below are commonly retold as “reportedly.”)

1
Tom Jones 🎤⚡

While recording the James Bond theme “Thunderball” (1965), Tom Jones reportedly held the final note so long that he passed out in the booth.

🎶 Final-note flex: legendary… and apparently dangerous.

2
Donna Summer 💃🎶

During rehearsal for her duet with Barbra Streisand, “No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)” (1979), Donna Summer was reportedly exhausted from a run of live shows and
passed out after extended high notes, even falling off her stool.

🎧 Studio stamina is real — especially after nights on stage.

That’s just the start… 🙌

This is now a weekly feature, and Producer Charlie has a whole vault of music stories and fun facts coming your way.

Which note do you think is harder to hold —
“Thunderball” or “No More Tears”? 😄
